Description

A small coil connected to an oscilloscope is moved inside a bigger one connected to an alternating power supply.

Equipment

• Function generator
• Oscilloscope
• Big coil
• Small coil (probe)

Instructions

• Connect the function generator to the big coil
• Any frequency and voltage will work fine
• Connect the oscilloscope to the small coil
• (Optional) Connect the power suplly to a different channel of the oscilloscope
• Adjust the voltage scale and time scale of the oscilloscope
• Move the probe around inside and outside the coil.
